A Space for You
Life can feel overwhelming, painful, confusing - or just quietly too heavy to carry alone.
Maybe you’re facing something specific.
Maybe you can’t quite name it, but you know something needs to shift.
Adult counselling at Chambers of Change offers a warm, steady space to explore what’s happening for you - beneath the surface, at your pace.
This is a space that belongs entirely to you.
Why adults come to therapy
People seek counselling for lots of different reasons. You might be here because:
- you’re carrying trauma from the past
- you’re grieving a loss or a life change
- anxiety or panic is interfering with daily life
- you feel low, stuck, numb, or disconnected
- relationships feel painful or confusing
- you’re burnt out, overwhelmed, or under constant pressure
- you want to understand yourself more deeply
- you’re ready for change but unsure where to begin
You don’t need to be in crisis to come to therapy - you just need to be human!
What we work with together
Our work is collaborative, steady, and shaped around you.
Depending on what you need, sessions may involve:
- making sense of emotions and experiences
- gently exploring patterns that no longer serve you
- understanding how past experiences shape the present
- building grounding and regulation tools
- processing trauma safely and at a pace that feels tolerable
- strengthening identity and self‑worth
- navigating relationships, boundaries, and change
This is a space where you can speak freely - without judgement, pressure, or expectation.
My approach
I work relationally, meaning the therapeutic relationship itself becomes a safe, grounding base for healing.
My approach is:
- trauma‑informed - safety and pacing always come first
- compassionate - you’ll be met with warmth, not judgement
- grounded - rooted in real life, not jargon
- creative - using metaphor, imagery, or narrative when helpful
- collaborative - we work together, not in a hierarchy
- holistic - honouring mind, body, and emotional experience
You won’t be rushed.
You won’t be judged.
You’ll be met exactly where you are.
Who this space is for
Adult counselling may be a good fit if you:
- are new to therapy or returning after time away
- feel nervous or unsure about opening up
- want a gentle, human, relational approach
- benefit from creativity or metaphor
- are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm
You don’t need the “right words”.
You just need to show up as you are.
Practicalities
Sessions are available face‑to‑face and online.
Online video sessions are very widely available and can be a great option if leaving the house, travel, energy levels, or new environments feel challenging.
If you’re considering therapy
Reaching out can feel daunting - and it’s also an act of courage.
If you’d like to explore whether we might be a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.
No pressure.
Just space.
